Rotary International President (2007-2008) Wilfred J. “Wilf” Wilkinson has set an ambitious agenda for the first two months of the Rotary year with seven presidential conferences across North America. The conferences share a common theme: membership.

Join hundreds of Rotarians that have selected Fort Lauderdale, Florida as the venue to collaborate on the greatest single challenge facing our organization today – finding, recruiting and retaining quality individuals and making them good Rotarians.

Every Rotarian should attend this critically important event, scheduled for August 24-25, 2007.

However, it is a “must” for club presidents, club officers and club membership chairs. As well, district membership committee chairs, district governors, governors-elect and governors-nominee need to commit today to being at this conference.

Click on the “speakers” link to see who the participants will have a chance to learn from. The seminar sessions will follow a workshop format with many opportunities to ask questions and pose suggestions.

When you’re ready to register for the conference simply click the “event registration” link and, in less than five minutes, confirm your participation.

The Westin Hotel - Fort Lauderdale is the site of the event and by clicking on the “hotel reservation” link you will be taken to a special section of the Westin website to reserve your room at the incredible rate of $109 (plus tax) per night.

Want to know more about what will be discussed and when? Click on the “agenda” link for a detailed look at the events contained in the Saturday seminar. The $115 price of registration includes everything on that agenda – including lunch – and a very special dinner on Friday evening, the night before the conference, featuring President Wilf as the keynote speaker.

Fort Lauderdale is known as the “Venice of America” because of the miles and miles of canals that interlace the city. Its second moniker, “the world center of yachting”, is well deserved with literally thousands of beautiful watercraft everywhere that you look. Extend your stay and play a while. Click on all the “image links” on this page to explore more of the immediate area and get the most out of your trip.

We look forward to seeing you in Fort Lauderdale.
